The Great War, Cruise on the Marne canal From Epernay to Paris

Paris - EPERNAY - DORMANS - CHÂTEAU THIERRY - SAINT-JEAN-LES-DEUX-JUMEAUX - MEAUX - LAGNY-SUR-MARNE - PARIS

DAY 1: Paris - EPERNAY

Transfer by coach from Paris to Epernay. Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. in Epernay. After you've settled comfortably in your cabin, we'll present our crew to you before having dinner. We'll then enjoy dinner on board and stay overnight.

DAY 2: EPERNAY - DORMANS

Full board on board. The morning, leave by coach on a tour of Verdun, including a visit to Fort Douaumont, and visit of the Douaumont ossuary. We'll finish the visit with the "Tranchée des Baïonnettes" (bayonet trench). Return on board and continue our cruise to Dormans. Arrival in Dormans during the evening. Overnight stop.

DAY 3: DORMANS - CHÂTEAU THIERRY

Full board on board. This morning, tour on the famous Champagne Tourist Route. Guided tour of the village of Hautvillers, once home to the famous Dom Perignon, and visit to a prominent champagne house, with a tasting. Return on board and afternoon spent cruising towards Château Thierry. Arrival in Château Thierry in the evening. Overnight stop.

DAY 4: CHÂTEAU THIERRY - SAINT-JEAN-LES-DEUX-JUMEAUX

Full board on board. In the morning, visit of the Remembrance Museum of Belleau(1), and visit of the Aisne-Marne Cemetery. Return on board. We'll cruise to Saint-Jean-Les-Deux-Jumeaux, passing by Drachy and Champigny as we cruise through the vineyard-dotted landscapes of the Seine-et-Marne. Arrival in the evening. Overnight stop.

DAY 5: SAINT-JEAN-LES-DEUX-JUMEAUX - MEAUX - LAGNY-SUR-MARNE

Full board on board. Morning spent cruising to Meaux. Arrival in Meaux. The Afternoon, guided tour of the Battlefields of the Marne and the Museum of the Great War. The circuit of the Battlefields of the Marne takes us through the most important combat areas. During the excursion, the ship will cruise towards Lagny-sur-Marne where we will return on board. Overnight stop.

DAY 6: LAGNY-SUR-MARNE - PARIS

Full board on board. Cruise to Paris. The afternoon, arrival in Paris and departure for a coach and foot tour of Paris. We'll visit Les Invalides, which retraces history from 1871 to 1945, including the two World War. Return on board. Gala evening. Overnight stop.

DAY 7: PARIS

Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark around 9:00 a.m.
 

For navigational safety reasons, the company and the captain are the only authorized persons who can modify the cruise itinerary. (1) Depending on the mooring point of the ship, a transfer by coach may be arranged on board. A 20 € per person supplement will be payable on the spot.
Alcohol can be dangerous to your health. The excessive consumption of alcohol is dangerous and life-threatening – please consume in moderation.

Formalities: 

valid passport compulsory. Non-EU nationals are advised to consult their embassy or consulate. Please note: Your passport must be valid for six months beyond the last day of your travels.
