Franche-Comté's history has shaped the architectural landscape, leaving behind many amazing physical reminders over the years. A journey from Montbéliard, the city of the Princes, to Besançon and the Vauban citadel, our tour will take you from town to village, as we are transported through the ages and encounter the locals. However, the Franche-Comté region is also known for its rich diversity of landscapes, from mountains and forests, to rapids and rivers. Here, you will relax in the great outdoors, walking and rambling through the countryside. DAY 1: MONTBELIARDBoarding from 6.00 p.m. in Montbéliard. Presentation of the crew and welcome cocktail. Dinner on board. Overnight.DAY 2: MONTBELIARD - L'ISLE-SUR-LE-DOUBSFull board on board. Walking tour through the historic heart of Montbéliard, a former Württemberg principality. Back on board. Afternoon spent cruising toward l'Isle-sur-le-Doubs. Take time to relax and admire the beautiful scenery in the Doubs Valley, or to walk or cycle along the canal paths alongside the boat (2). Overnight.DAY 3: L'ISLE-SUR-LE-DOUBS - CLERVALFull board on board. Morning spent cruising toward Clerval. At any time you are free to bike along the banks of the Doubs River by taking the EuroVelo 6 Cycle Route (2). In the afternoon, discovering the hiking path to the Altar Chapel (1). Back on board. Overnight.DAY 4: CLERVAL - BAUMES-LES-DAMESFull board on board. Morning spent cruising toward Baumes-Les-Dames that we will reach in the afternoon. You will relax and enjoy a breakfast buffet as we cruise the river for the rest of the morning. During the morning, you are free to bike alongside the boat (2) by riding on the EuroVelo 6 Cycle Route. You can come and go as you please, returning on board at any time. You'll enjoy a relaxing lunch on board before arriving in Baumes-les-Dames around 1:00 p.m. Guided tour of Baumes-les-Dames. Here you'll discover the ancient town center, including typical buildings full of character, and the beautiful abbey. Back on board. Overnight.DAY 5: BAUMES-LES-DAMES - DELUZFull board on board. Morning spent cruising toward Deluz. In the afternoon, discovering of the various hiking paths around the town (1). You'll have the opportunity to discover the Pelouse Sèche (dry grassland) site, which is part of the Natura 2000 project. Back on board. Overnight.DAY 6: DELUZ - BESANCONFull board on board. Morning spent cruising toward Besancon. During the morning, you are free to bike alongside the boat (2) by riding on the EuroVelo 6 Cycle Route. Early in the afternoon, arrival in Besancon and guided tour of the Citadel of Besançon. After the visit, you will have free time to visit the Citadel's various museums, including the Resistance and Deportation Museum, the Comtois Museum and the Natural History Museum. Back on board. Gala evening. Overnight.DAY 7: BESANCONBuffet breakfast on board. Disembark at 9.00 a.m. End of our services.
