This cruise will guarantee a complete change of scenery along the Doubs River in completely natural and untouched surroundings. Franche-Comté's history has shaped the architectural landscape, leaving behind many amazing physical reminders over the years. A journey from Besançon to Montbéliard, our tour will take you from town to village as you discover the Doubs River Valley and its inhabitants. However, the Franche-Comté region is also known for its rich diversity of landscapes, from mountains and forests, to rapids and rivers. Here, you will relax in the great outdoors, walking and rambling through the countryside.

DAY 1: BESANCON

Boarding from 6.00 p.m. in Besançon. Presentation of the crew and welcome cocktail. Dinner on board. Overnight.

DAY 2: BESANCON - DELUZ

Full board on board. Guided visit of the Besançon citadel, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2008. Back on board in Deluz. Free time in Deluz. Overnight.

DAY 3: DELUZ - BAUMES-LES-DAMES

Full board on board. Morning spent cruising. Take the time to use the bicycles available on board to go for a cycle ride along the EuroVelo 6 Cycle Route (2). Arrival in Baumes-les-Dames. Guided visit of the city, founded in the 5th century. Overnight.

DAY 4: BAUMES-LES-DAMES - CLERVAL

Full board on board. Morning spent cruising. In the afternoon, arrival in Clerval. Time at leisure to discover the hiking path to the Altar Chapel (1). Back on board. Overnight.

DAY 5: CLERVAL - L'ISLE-SUR-LE-DOUBS

Full board on board. Morning spent cruising. Stopat l'Isle-sur-le-Doubs. Time at leisure to discover this pretty town in its hilly, woodland setting at your own pace. Overnight.

DAY 6: L’ISLE-SUR-LE-DOUBS - MONTBELIARD

Full board on board. Morning spent cruising. Take the time to relax and admire the beautiful scenery in the Doubs Valley, or to walk or cycle along the canal paths alongside the boat. Arrival in Montbeliard. Walking tour in the historic quarter of Montbéliard. Gala evening on board. Overnight.

DAY 7: MONTBELIARD

Buffet breakfast on board. Disembarkment at 9.00 a.m. End of our services.

For the safety of our passengers, the captain and crew of the boat may decide to modify the navigational itinerary. The itinerary is subject to mooring availability at locks or ports, and may be modified as necessary.
(1) Hikes on recognized hiking paths are voluntary and not guided.
(2) Timetables and embarkation/disembarkation points will be announced on board by the ship's Captain.

Your cruise with all meals from dinner the D1 to breakfast on D7 - drinks including water, wine, beer, fruit juices and coffee served by CroisiEurope during meals on board, drinks served at the bar (excluding champagne and wines on the wine list) - double-occupancy cabin with shower in private bathroom - welcome cocktail - the excursions mentioned in the program - assistance from our onboard multi-lingual host/hostess - the gala dinner and evening - travel assistance and repatriation insurance - all port fees.

Excluding:

Drinks on the wine list, champagne at the bar, drinks served during excursions or transfers - cancellation and baggage insurance - personal expenses.

Formalities:

For US Citizens, a valid Passport is required for your travel. Non US Citizens but Resident in the US, please contact the local Embassies or Consulates for proper paperwork required before travelling.
