DAY 1: CHALONS-EN-CHAMPAGNE
Boarding is from 6.00pm in Châlons-en-Champagne. Welcome on board, check-in and crew presentation. Dinner on board. Moor for the night in Châlons-en-Champagne.
DAY 2: CHALONS-EN-CHAMPAGNE - TOUR SUR MARNE - EPERNAY
Breakfast on board. Set off on an optional visit of Châlons-en-Champagne (2) often called the “Sparkling Venice”. Along the way you will discover the Marne River and the Mau and Nau Canals. You will go through le Petit Jard, a real oasis of greenery and get a different view of the Convent of Ste Marie and the Church of Notre-Dame-en-Vaux. You will have the opportunity to see many different bridges, dating back as far as 1560. Next the group is taken on a guided walking tour of Châlons-en-Champagne to learn about its rich cultural heritage. At the end of the visit there is a tasting of regional products from the Champagne - Ardennes area. The boat will be waiting for us in Tour-Sur-Marne where we will return by coach for lunch and the boat sets sail for Epernay. The afternoon is spent cruising on the Marne canal. Arrival in Epernay in the early evening. Dinner on board and moor for the night.
DAY 3: EPERNAY - DORMANS - CHÂTEAU THIERRY
Breakfast on board. Depart on an optional excursion along the famous Champagne route. Set off on a discovery tour with commentary of the village of Hautvilliers, birthplace of Champagne,, where Dom Perignon lived. It was Dom Perignon who invented the famous “champagne method” of producing sparkling wine. Many of the little streets in the village have names that are reminiscent of the history of this village which is often called “The Pearl of Champagne”. Next you will visit a major Champagne house followed by a tasting of champagne. During the excursion, the ship continues its cruise to Dormans, where you will re-board for lunch. This afternoon the cruise heads for Château Thierry. As the whole afternoon is spent cruising, this is the ideal opportunity to admire the scenery long the banks of the Marne canal. We will cruise past the towns of Passy-sur-Marne, Jaulgonne and Mézy-Moulins. Arrival late ion the afternoon, set off on foot for the optional visit of the Jean de la Fontaine museum(2), we will continue visiting the city of Château Thierry trough the castle walls and the Dieu hotel where Jean de la Fontaine lived. return on board for dinner and moor for the night.
DAY 4: CHÂTEAU THIERRY - SAINT-JEAN-LES-DEUX-JUMEAUX
Breakfast buffet on board. During this morning, we will cruise on the Marne canal. We will pass the Azy sur Marne, Nanteuil sur Marne and Luzancy. Lunch on board as we arrive in Saint-Jean-Les-Deux-Jumeaux. Departure by bus for an optional tour of the city of Meaux(2). From the Cathedral to the Bishops’ Palace, passing the Gallo-Roman ramparts and the magnificent Bossuet Garden, traditionally believed to be an early work of Le Nôtre we will enjoy the charms of the city. This is the chance for you to travel through time and history. Afterwards, you will have a visit to the Brie de Meaux Exhibition Room, where you will see a film that will explain to you the manufacture and processing techniques of this famous cheese from the region. A tasting of the cheese, hailed as “the King of Cheeses” by Talleyrand in 1815, concludes your visit. Our boat will meet us in Meaux in late afternoon. Dinner on board. We moor for the night.
DAY 5: SAINT-JEAN-LES-DEUX-JUMEAUX - MEAUX - LAGNY-SUR-MARNE
The ship sets sail early this morning, heading for Paris. Breakfast and lunch are taken on board. Arrival in the capital late in the afternoon. Dinner on board and free night in Paris. Moor for the night.
DAY 6: LAGNY-SUR-MARNE - PARIS
Breakfast on board. Free morning in Paris, you will be able to assist to the 14th July military parade at the Champs Elysées avenue and other festivities for the ocasion of this National Holiday! (The whole programme will be comunicated). Lunch will be served on board and sett off by coach for an optional visit of Paris (2) – both by coach and on foot. The tour of the city will take you to see the major sites of the capital, such as the Place de la République, the main boulevards, the Opera, the Place de la Madeleine, Place Vendôme and the Louvre. Starting at the Palais Royal, you are invited on a new and original walk along the prettiest covered walkways in Paris. Shortcuts for pedestrians, every one of these walkways is like a village in the heart of the capital. You will travel back through time and history around the Palais Royal. The galleries have retained all their charm, however Shiseido, JP Gauthier, Stella McCartney and many others have also brought luxury and extravagance here too. Transfer by coach to the ship in Paris and board. Gala dinner on board this evening. Fireworks will start around 23.00. Moor for the night.
DAY 7: PARIS
Breakfast on board, Disembark around 9.00am. End of our journey.

In the event of transfers or journeys by air transport, prices will be revised according to fluctuations in fuel prices applied by the relevant airlines.
